Privacy Policy

BSR Spy is operated by HOGUE WEB SOLUTIONS LLC, a Virginia limited liability company (“we”, “us” or “our”). This explains what we collect when you use bsrspy.ai, why, and who else sees it. We collect as little as we need to run the service.

What we collect

• Your email address — to create your account, send your sign-in code and send you service emails.
• Subscription details — which plan you are on and its status. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe; your card number never reaches our servers.
• Technical data — standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) kept for security and to diagnose problems.
• A session cookie — so you stay signed in.
• Visit and advertising measurement — on our public pages (home, sign-in, plan, legal, checkout-confirmation and the page that opens when you install our Chrome extension) we use the Google tag for Google Analytics and Google Ads, including remarketing (showing our ads to people who visited our site). It sets cookies (such as _ga) and sends Google your IP address, browser details and the pages you view. It is not loaded inside the signed-in app, so what you search and view there is not shared with Google.
  Your choices: if you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask first, and nothing is switched on unless you click “Accept” on the banner (you can change your mind with the link at the bottom of any page). Everywhere else these cookies are on by default, and you can turn them off at any time with the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link at the bottom of our pages, which also stops us from sharing your information with Google for advertising. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal your browser may send, by switching off advertising cookies and sharing. You can also use your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on.

We do not store your name, billing address, or card details on our own servers; however, our payment processor (Stripe) collects billing and location details required to process your payment and calculate applicable taxes. We do not sell personal data.

Why we use it

• to provide and secure the Service and manage your subscription;
• to email you: sign-in codes, a welcome message, a reminder before a trial ends, and — unless you unsubscribe — a weekly summary of emerging themes;
• to understand and fix problems.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers that help us run BSR Spy, each for its own purpose:

• Stripe — payments and billing;
• Resend — sending email;
• Laravel Cloud — hosting and database;
• Google — visit and advertising measurement on our public pages (see above).

Product data shown in the Service comes from a third-party data provider; we do not send it any information about you. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Our servers and service providers operate in the United States, so your information is processed and stored there.

How long we keep it

Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists and for as long afterwards as the law or legitimate business needs require (for example, tax records). Server logs are kept for a short period.

Your choices and rights

• Unsubscribe from the weekly email at any time with the link at the bottom of it.
• Cancel your subscription from the Billing page.
• Ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data by contacting us below.

Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16; if you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Sign-in uses one-time email codes (we store no passwords), data is sent over HTTPS, and access to our systems is restricted. No online service is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you by email or in the Service.
